FISHES

FISHES

On April 11, 2024, at our home.

The biggest aquarium I saw was at Singapore --  of the size of a huge hall.  See the video below.

Nirmala, Rajyalakshmi & Sravanthi at the South East Asia aquarium,  Singapore.

I was at this seashore spot on March 8, 2018 near Machilipatnam ('Machili' means fish).

Exotic & expensive ASIAN AROWANA

          EXPENSIVE

How much expensive ?  Anywhere from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars.  One fish was even rumoured to have been bought by a Chinese Communist Party official for $ 3,00,000.  It has become a status symbol ... wealthy Chinese businessmen prize Arowana (called Vaastu Fish / Lucky Fish / Long Yu / Dragon Fish in some places) -- with its large glimmering scales, sage-like whiskers, aggressive personality & its resemblance to the mythical Chinese Dragon ...

WEIRD, WHACKY  &  WOW !!!

In Singapore, Dr. Eugene Ark routinely carries out cosmetic surgery for the Arowana fishes to make them look more beautiful, by giving their droopy eyes an eyelift, by surgically loosening the tissues behind the fishes' eyes and pushing the eyeball up into the socket !  The idea of cosmetic surgery may sound eccentric for us in India, but there is a great demand for it abroad.  Rich aficionados seek the perfect look.

Fishes at OUR HOUSE have no sense of social distancing just as the crowd in front of the WHITE HOUSE  !!!   No wonder the relentless march of COVID-19 goes on.  --  Dr. T. Rama Prasad,  Perundurai.

Made with the discarded 'glucose drip' plastic tube !!!
