(25-9-2024,.. నేడు బాలు నాలుగో వర్ధంతి )

శ్రీపతీ! నీకోచిరు గీత మాలిక !

ఏపాటలు పాడగలమో గదా! బాలూ...
నీవు పొడి మమ్మలరించిన నీరాగమాలికలు తప్ప
ఏబిరుదులు నీకందివ్వగలమోగదా బాలూ
మనసులోపల దాచిన మమతల మాలలు తప్ప-
మురిపాల అలరించు గీతమా! తలపులా!
పాటలు దరహాస చండ్రికలా!
నీవులేని ఈ పాటలు నిట్టూర్పుల సెగల పొగలు
నీవు లేని ఈ జగతి నిర్మానుష్యపు కారడవి
పాటెందుకు? పదమెందుకు?
నీవు లేక స్వర మెందుకు?
భాషెందుకు? భావమెందుకు? నీవు లేని పాటెందుకు?
తలపెందుకు? మనసెందుకు?
నీవు లేని ఈ స్వరాభిషేకమ్ములెందుకు?
మబ్బులతో ఒకసారి మనవి చేసికొందును -
నీ సంగీత మాలికలే జగతిపై శ్రావణమేఘాలై కురియాలనీ
చుక్కలతో ఒకసారి వినతి చేసికొందును -
నీపాటలే చుక్కలై నింగిలో మెరిసిపోవాలనీ!
దివిని వెలసిన గాన గంధర్వులను వేడుకుందును ఇలా!
మాగాన గంధర్వుడి పాటలే
జగతిలోసజీవమ్ముగా నిలిచిపోవాలనీ!
ఆ స్వరరాగ సరస్వతి ముందు చేతులెత్తి ప్రార్థింతును తుదిసారిగా
ఆస్వరరాగమూర్తియే తిరిగిరావాలనీ!
దివికేగిన 'బాలుడే' మరల జన్మించాలనీ!

Not a day passes for Rajyalakshmi without enjoying a video of a musical concert of SPB.

            She is such a lover of music that she
 sold her only gold chain, while studying M.Sc. in Visakhapatnam, in 1965,  to buy a radiogram which is still with her, half-a-century later.  The photo of the radiogram is below, and the "Love Story" about this radiogram is in the  links below :

Long ago, we sang the dirge of these outdated big-sized gadgets. The youngsters of today would not have seen those disks and gadgets since they are relics of the past. 

Hereunder is one of the poems of Mrs. V. S. Rajyalakshmi, M.Sc., Perundurai on the legendary BALU which is published on 27.09.2022 in the "Metro Udayam Telugu Daily" newspaper.

బాలూ. తెలుసా, నీ విలువా ?  

నీ పెదవులు పలుకగపోతే  “ పాడుతా తీయగా” లేదుగా ! 

నీ స్వరమే సుప్రభాతము పాడకపోతే జగమే తెలవారదుగా ! 

నీ చిరునవ్వులు చిందకపోతే, పాటలోన మైమరపే లేదుగా! 

ప్రతి రాగములో హాయిగా పాడినా అమనీ కోయిలా! 

అంతులేని తేనెల మాధుర్యమా! 

అభిమానుల గాన గంధర్వమా! 

మరపురాని పాటకు ప్రతిరూపమా! 

నీవు లేని ఈ జగతిలో- పాటలే కురియునా ! 

మధువులే చిoదువా! 

లోకానికి నీ ఉనికే ఓ కలగా మారెనులే ! 

బాలు - ఎక్కడా? - నీవెక్కడా?  

బాలూ- లోకానికి తెలుసా నీవిలువా ! 

నీ పాటకు కలవా సరి హద్దులూ! 

జగమంతటికీ బాలు'పాట' ఒకటే కానీ - పాటకు 'బాలు' ఒక్కడే -
